Key Qualifications:

• Certification or formal training as a CVOR Tech or equivalent
• Proven experience supporting cardiovascular surgeries
• Strong understanding of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
• Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and ability to work seamlessly under pressure

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain a sterile operating environment before, during, and after cardiovascular procedures
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and assist with specialized equipment
• Monitor and maintain inventory of surgical instruments and sterile supplies
• Support patient safety through accurate documentation and procedural compliance
• Collaborate with nurses, surgeons, and anesthesia staff to ensure efficient case flow
• Perform decontamination, cleaning, and reprocessing of surgical tools following procedures
