In this key role, you will assist in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) procedures, ensuring all aspects of perioperative care are carried out safely and efficiently. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing quality patient care during complex cardiac and vascular surgeries.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the Cardiovascular Operating Room for procedures, ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterile and functioning.
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during cardiac and vascular surgeries by passing instruments, maintaining a sterile environment, and anticipating needs.
• Confirm correct equipment and supplies are available before and during the procedure.
• Monitor and check vital equipment related to CVOR functions.
• Work collaboratively with the surgical team to maintain optimal patient outcomes and adhere to safety regulations.
• Document procedures and supplies used according to facility policies.

Desired Qualifications:

• Successful completion of an accredited CVOR Tech or Surgical Technologist program required.
• Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credentials preferred.
• Previous experience working in a Cardiovascular Operating Room setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with specialized cardiac and vascular surgical equipment.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and provide meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
