Key Qualifications:

• Certification or licensure as a Surgical Technologist, with specialized experience in CVOR settings
• Demonstrated understanding of sterile technique and infection control
• Familiarity with surgical instrumentation and cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Strong ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons and operating room teams
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons during cardiovascular procedures by providing and managing surgical instruments and supplies
• Prepare the operating room ensuring all equipment, instruments, and materials are ready and sterile
• Monitor and maintain strict sterile fields throughout procedures
• Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, RNs, and other staff to facilitate optimal patient care
• Ensure adherence to all safety and compliance protocols in the CVOR
• Support surgical case turnover and equipment sterilization between procedures
• Maintain detailed, accurate records associated with each procedure
