Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and empathetic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. Under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will assist in the evaluation, treatment, and management of communication disorders across all age groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Screenings: Help the SLP conduct speech and language screenings.
  • Implement Treatment Plans: Follow treatment plans developed by the SLP.
  • Provide Therapy: Deliver direct therapy services to both individuals and groups.
  • Monitor Progress: Track and document patient progress consistently.
  • Educate Patients and Families: Teach exercises and strategies to improve communication skills.
  • Prepare Materials: Ensure therapy materials and equipment are ready and maintained.
  • Maintain Records: Keep accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Team Participation: Engage in team meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Associate degree in a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field.
  • Licensure: Current state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
  • Experience: Preferably experienced in working with children and/or adults with communication disorders.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Teamwork: Capable of working effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • Organizational Abilities: Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Approach: Compassionate and patient-centered in providing care.
