Now Hiring Special Education Resource Room Teacher – Richmond, ME

A middle school near the Richmond, ME area is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Resource Room Teacher to join their team.
As a Resource Room Teacher you will be teaching students in grades 6th thought 8th grade with mild to moderate disabilities reading, writing, and math.  

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
  • Provide specialized instruction in reading, writing, math, and other subjects as needed.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to support students in the general education classroom.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and other professionals to discuss student progress and support needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and services provided.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Maine Special Education Teaching license
  • Experience working with students with disabilities, particularly in a resource room setting.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the US and able to pass a background check and drug screening.
