Now Hiring Special Education Resource Room Teacher – Richmond, ME

A middle school near the Richmond, ME area is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Resource Room Teacher to join their team.
As a Resource Room Teacher you will be teaching students in grades 6^th thought 8^th grade with mild to moderate disabilities reading, writing, and math.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
Provide specialized instruction in reading, writing, math, and other subjects as needed.
Collaborate with general education teachers to support students in the general education classroom.
Communicate regularly with parents and other professionals to discuss student progress and support needs.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and services provided.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
Maine Special Education Teaching license
Experience working with students with disabilities, particularly in a resource room setting.
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Must be authorized to work in the US and able to pass a background check and drug screening.
