Job Description

A certified Surgical Technologist is needed for a 13-week contract assignment in Rochester, NY. This role involves working in a dynamic surgical environment with a variety of cases including elective and emergency procedures across 23 operating rooms and one procedure room. The position offers a weekend schedule with 3 twelve-hour shifts from Saturday to Monday, plus on-call responsibilities approximately once per week and one weekend per month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms and sterile instruments for surgical procedures.
  • Assist surgical teams during adult and pediatric surgeries.
  • Maintain strict adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols.
  • Manage a variety of service-specific cases in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA certification required unless you have worked in New York before 2015).
  • Current BLS certification.
  • At least 2 years of recent experience as a CST preferred.
  • Must reside 75+ miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible.
