Job Description

Exciting opportunity for a Certified Surgical Technologist in Rochester, NY! This rewarding role involves working in a dynamic surgical environment with a diverse case load across 23 operating rooms and one procedure room. You'll support both adult and pediatric patients through elective and emergency procedures, gaining valuable experience in a variety of surgical specialties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain sterile fields and surgical instruments for various procedures
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and other OR staff to ensure smooth operations
  • Monitor and manage equipment functionality during surgeries
  • Support patient safety protocols and adhere to infection control standards

Qualifications:

  • Certified Surgical Technologist credential (NBSTSA required unless employed in New York prior to 2015)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Minimum of 2 years recent CST experience preferred
  • Must reside at least 75 miles from Rochester to qualify; local candidates not eligible
  • Open to first-time travel surgical technologists eager to broaden their expertise

Schedule and Assignment Details:

  • 13-week contract
  • Three 12-hour shifts over weekends (Saturday through Monday, 7:00 AM 7:00 PM)
  • On-call once weekly plus one weekend on-call per month
