Job Description

Join a fast-paced laboratory team supporting critical care in a Level 2 trauma center. This contract position offers a rewarding travel assignment in Cartersville, GA, where your expertise as a Medical Technician or Medical Technologist will be essential to delivering accurate laboratory testing and timely results for acute patient care.

Position Highlights:

  • Schedule: 7 nights on, 7 nights off
    • Weekdays: 7:00 p.m. 5:30 a.m.
    • Weekends: 7:00 p.m. 7:30 a.m.
  • No on-call duties; every-other-weekend rotation
  • Work in a 304-bed teaching hospital environment serving trauma patients
  • Utilize EPIC EMR and Beaker laboratory systems

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory analyses in Blood Bank, Hematology, Chemistry, and Serology for acute-care patients
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and department leadership to ensure precise, timely lab results
  • Adhere to quality and safety standards in a high-volume trauma setting

Qualifications:

  • Current national certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician, Medical Technologist, or Medical Laboratory Scientist through ASCP, AMT, or AAB
  • Minimum one year of recent medical laboratory experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
