Job Description

As a Medical Physicist, youll play a pivotal role within a dynamic healthcare environment, providing critical expertise to ensure the safe and effective delivery of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures involving radiation. Your efforts will directly impact patient care quality and safety in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of medical professionals.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Medical Physics, Physics, or a related discipline.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Medical Physics (ABR, ABSNM, or equivalent) is highly desired.
  • Demonstrated expertise in radiation safety, quality assurance, and equipment calibration.
  • Proficiency with ionizing and non-ionizing radiation technologies, including linear accelerators, CT simulators, and treatment planning systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and compliance practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or hospital setting preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular quality assurance testing of radiation therapy and diagnostic imaging equipment.
  • Develop, review, and implement treatment plans in conjunction with radiation oncologists and dosimetrists.
  • Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety guidelines for staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Perform dosimetry calculations and provide oversight for brachytherapy and external beam procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of all testing, calibrations, and maintenance activities.
  • Participate actively in accreditation and regulatory compliance initiatives.
  • Offer technical support and training to clinical staff as needed.
