Play a direct role in supporting individuals with acute mental health needs by joining a dedicated facility focused on compassionate psychiatric care. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals driven to make a difference, whether youre gaining experience in the mental health field or building on previous skills.
Available Shifts:
- Evening shift (3:00 pm 11:00 pm): 2 positions
- Night shift (11:00 pm 7:00 am): 4 positions
- Full-time, 40-hour weeks; must work 3 out of every 4 weekends
- Scheduling is unit-based and candidates must be open to floating as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience as a Mental Health or Medical Assistant; inpatient experience strongly preferred
- Background in group homes, customer service, or related mental health roles is valuable
- Pursuing or holding a degree in psychology or social services is a plus
- Strong reliability and attendance record; punctuality is essential
- Current CPI certification or willingness to complete in-class CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training and pass the examination
- No LNA or CNA certification required
Key Responsibilities:
- Support care delivery to adults experiencing acute mental health challenges in an inpatient environment
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote patient safety and well-being
- Complete a comprehensive 4-week orientation combining classroom and unit-based training, culminating in competency and policy assessments
- Maintain infection control requirements including facial hair guidelines for N95 fit testing
- Assist with patient observations, basic support tasks, de-escalation measures, and fostering therapeutic environments
