Job Description

This opportunity is designed for individuals with skills as a Medical Assistant and/or Mental Health Assistant seeking a focused and rewarding role in the healthcare field. The position is based in Derry, NH, and is ideal for local candidates interested in a contract assignment that balances professional experience with a manageable schedule.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Mental Health Worker (MHW), preferably with inpatient nursing exposure.
  • Background in mental health support, group home work, or currently pursuing a psychology degree is highly valued.
  • Strong customer service skills and a genuine desire to work with mental health populations.
  • Reliable attendance and commitment to a consistent schedule.
  • No LNA or CNA certification required.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 5 shifts per week, each shift lasting 8 hours.
  • Second shift hours: 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM.
  • Strict adherence to attendance policy is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide compassionate support and assistance to individuals with mental health needs in an inpatient setting.
  • Assist in the implementation of care plans under supervision.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients.
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and team members.

Benefits include working in a structured, supportive environment with a contract length of approximately 26 weeks. Extensions may be possible depending on performance and needs, reviewed six weeks before the contract end date.
