Job Description

Contribute to making a lasting impact on behavioral healthcare by supporting patients with acute mental health needs. This engaging contract opportunity calls for compassionate and motivated individuals to work evening and night shifts as part of a dedicated team for a 13-week assignment.

Schedule

  • Evenings: 3:00 pm 11:00 pm (2 positions)
  • Nights: 11:00 pm 7:00 am (4 positions)
  • 40-hour work weeks
  • Required to work 3 out of 4 weekends monthly
  • Flexibility to float across units as needed

Desired Experience & Skills

  • At least 1 year of prior experience, preferably inpatient or psychiatric care
  • Background in psychology studies, group home settings, or mental health populations highly valued
  • Customer service experience with an interest in behavioral health considered
  • Reliable with excellent attendance
  • No LNA or CNA certification required
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification completion required in-person training provided
  • Willingness to adhere to CDC guidelines for fit testing and mask usage, including maintaining a clean-shaven appearance when required

Responsibilities

  • Support nursing and clinical staff to ensure safe, supportive patient care
  • Monitor, observe, and interact therapeutically with patients
  • Assist with daily living activities and escort patients as needed
  • Participate actively in classroom and on-unit training during a comprehensive 4-week orientation, including skills practice, policy review, and passing an exam with at least 80%
  • Collaborate closely with team members to maintain a secure and stable hospital unit environment
