Job Description

Are you a School Psychologist looking for additional flexibility in your schedule? Sunbelt is working with schools to schedule interviews for a fully remote SLP in Maine for the 2024-25 school year. With Sunbelt , you will have the chance to provide online services for students in need of evaluations/assessments and direct intervention and/or counseling services. In addition, you will be treated as an independent 1099 contractor, meaning you’ll have flexibility in your personal schedule to provide remote services. Whether it’s lightening your commute, focusing on family, prioritizing health concerns, or any other reason, this may be a good fit for you.

Position Details

  • 1099 independent contracting structure
  • K-12 grade caseload with mild-moderate symptoms
  • Full-time hours (see below for more details)
  • We work with a Zoom Plus application (HIPAA/FERPA compliant)
  • You will be able to bill for both direct time with students in addition to time spent 

 

School Hours: 8:00 to 3:30 PM local time

  • Full-time: 35-40 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in School or Educational Psychology.
  • Maine state license for School Psychology.
  • Two years of experience in a school setting with previous remote experience (preferred).
  • Professional liability insurance coverage to work with students.
  • Home computer with camera and microphone functions with strong internet connection.

Requirements

  • Conduct virtual assessments to evaluate cognitive and behavioral needs.
  • Provide remote counseling and crisis intervention services as needed.
  • Manage and develop Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) for each student.
  • Participate in virtual IEP meetings with family and faculty members.

For any positions with Sunbelt, you must be comfortable with working as an independent contractor! This means, you will be paid in full for any hours worked. You will be compensated for 100% of the time you work, including both direct time with students and indirect planning periods & IEP development.
