Job Title: School-Based Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)

Job Description:

We are seeking a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to provide school-based counseling services to students in Birmingham, MI. The LMSW will work collaboratively with school staff to address the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students in order to promote academic success and overall well-being. This position requires knowledge of social work theories, principles, and techniques, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counseling to students with a variety of social, emotional, and behavioral needs
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to develop and implement interventions to support student success
Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans based on the needs of the student
Advocate for students and provide information about community resources
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided
Participate in clinical supervision and ongoing training to enhance professional development
Adhere to ethical and legal standards in social work practice

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program
Current license as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of Michigan
Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting
Strong assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in computer and technology skills
