This opportunity seeks a skilled X-ray Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The role requires verifying patient identity and physician orders before imaging, positioning patients safelyincluding those with limited mobilityand producing high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation. Attention to maintaining safety protocols, proper handling of radiologic equipment, and accurate record keeping using electronic systems are essential elements of this position.

Responsibilities:

• Confirm patient identity and review physician orders prior to imaging procedures
• Operate x-ray equipment to capture images of bones, tissues, and organs
• Explain procedures clearly and compassionately to patients
• Position patients safely, assisting with lifting or mobility as needed
• Maintain radiation safety to keep doses as low as possible
• Produce diagnostic-quality images for radiologist interpretation
• Report any equipment issues promptly
• Utilize electronic patient systems to ensure proper labeling and record accuracy
• Collaborate effectively with team members and support a cohesive work environment

Qualifications:

• Completion of formal training through an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
• New York State licensure, or eligibility to obtain before start date
• Minimum 2 years experience as an X-ray Technologist, including Level 1 trauma center exposure
• Recent operating room experience using C-arm/O-arm equipment within the past 8 months
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift or move patients as necessary
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach
• Ability to respond within 30 minutes to on-call shifts
