Schedule/Hours:

• Ability to report within 30 minutes for on-call shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify patient identity and physician orders prior to imaging procedures
• Acquire high-quality radiographic images using appropriate equipment
• Explain x-ray procedures, addressing patient questions and concerns
• Safely position and, if needed, assist patients with limited mobility
• Operate and maintain radiology equipment, keeping patient dose to a minimum
• Observe patient status and tailor care to age-specific needs
• Collaborate with radiologists to ensure optimal diagnostic images
• Maintain accurate records and ensure proper image transmission to PACS
• Adhere to dual patient identifier protocols and report equipment issues promptly

Core Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology, ARRT Certified
• New York State x-ray license or eligibility for licensure
• Minimum 2 years of X-ray Technologist experience, including recent Level 1 trauma center work
• Demonstrated recent experience in OR using c-arm/o-arm (within 8 months)
• BLS certification
• Strong communication, analytical, and patient care skills
• Physical ability to assist and move patients, and stand for prolonged periods
• Team-oriented with a compassionate approach
