Healthcare facilities are seeking a skilled professional to operate as an Imaging - X-ray, X-ray Tech/Radiologic Technologist. This part-time contract position offers a predictable and structured schedule, allowing you to balance work with your personal life.
Schedule:
- Part time: 24 hours per week
- Alternating weeks:
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Qualifications:
- Valid ARRT (R) certification required
- Current BLS certification
- Experience performing diagnostic X-ray exams in a clinical or hospital setting preferred
- Strong attention to detail when capturing and assessing radiographic images
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to safety protocols
Responsibilities:
- Perform quality diagnostic imaging procedures according to physician orders
- Prepare and position patients for X-ray exams while ensuring their comfort and safety
- Operate imaging equipment carefully and accurately to capture clear diagnostic images
- Assess images for clarity, proper positioning, and quality before submitting for physician review
- Maintain accurate documentation of all procedures performed
- Follow infection control and radiation safety standards at all times
- Communicate professionally with healthcare staff and provide reassurance and instructions to patients
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives
