Job Description
A licensed radiologic technologist is needed for a contract position in Lawrenceville, GA, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital setting that serves trauma and emergency patients. This role requires proficiency in general X-ray imaging and experience in the operating room (OR), with flexibility to support multiple areas including emergency department (ED), inpatient units, and portable imaging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform radiologic procedures using fluoroscopic and radiographic equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
- Demonstrate the ability to operate equipment by GE, Phillips, and CareStream.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams across departments, including floating to various units as needed.
- Evaluate images to ensure technical quality and adherence to safety standards.
- Utilize EMR systems such as EPIC and Sectra for documentation and patient care coordination.
- Assist in clinical education by working with students and conducting competency assessments.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Graduated from a JRCERT or ARRT accredited radiologic technology program.
- Certified by the ARRT and hold a current BLS certification.
- Minimum of one year experience at a level 1 trauma center or 2-3 years at a large bed trauma level 2 facility.
- Skilled in general X-ray imaging; comfortable working in OR and emergency settings.
- Willingness to expand expertise to pediatrics and neonatal imaging.
- Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to fast-paced environments.
