A healthcare opportunity is available for an experienced radiologic technologist with a focus on X-ray imaging in Keaau, HI. This contract position requires a strong background in radiographic equipment operation and a commitment to radiation safety protocols.
Location: Keaau, HI
Situated near the beautiful town of Hilo, Keaau offers a unique blend of tropical climate and lush landscapes. The area provides a welcoming community atmosphere with access to outdoor activities such as hiking and exploring volcanic parks.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years as a radiologic technologist
- Current State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license required by start of assignment
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Demonstrated proficiency operating radiographic equipment independently
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols with possession of a dosimeter badge
- Experience with EMR systems (preferably Meditech or Epic), Philips DR, Philips C-arms, OEC C-arms, and Konica DR preferred
Responsibilities:
- Perform radiographic procedures accurately and safely with minimal supervision
- Adhere strictly to radiation safety guidelines
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care
- Participate in pre-employment health and HR clearance appointments (travelers must arrive the Friday prior to start date for these appointments)
Schedule and Work Details:
- Varied shifts including day and evening hours
- Average of 3 call days per month
- No guaranteed hours or guaranteed approved time off
This position requires candidates to arrive onsite the Thursday before the start date for an employee health appointment on Friday. Those without a current Hawaii license must apply immediately upon acceptance and ensure licensure by the assignment start.
