Schedule/Hours:

  • Ability to report within 30 minutes to on-call shift

Responsibilities:

  • Verify patient identity and review physician orders before x-ray procedures
  • Operate imaging equipment to capture radiographs of bones, organs, and tissues
  • Clearly explain procedures and answer patient questions with empathy
  • Safely position and assist patients, including those with limited mobility
  • Ensure radiation safety and proper function of all radiologic equipment
  • Provide age-specific patient care and monitor patient status
  • Generate high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation
  • Promptly report equipment malfunctions
  • Use electronic systems for verification and documentation, practicing dual patient identifier protocols
  • Maintain accurate, secure patient records and image transmission

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
  • Active ARRT certification
  • NYS radiologic technologist license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Minimum two years of recent X-ray experience, including Level 1 trauma center exposure
  • Recent OR experience and proficiency with c-arm/o-arm usage in the last 8 months
  • BLS certification
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Physically able to move or lift patients and stand for long periods
