Job Description

Perform radiographic procedures with technical expertise in a dynamic, operating room-like environment that involves close collaboration with nurses and healthcare providers. This contract opportunity in Fairport, NY, offers a chance to apply specialized imaging skills primarily focused on spine injections and ablations.

Responsibilities include preparing radiographic rooms and equipment, assisting patients before and during exams, and ensuring high-quality diagnostic images are obtained using prescribed techniques. You will also manage inventory, perform general office duties, and maintain a safe environment by adhering to radiation safety protocols. Proficiency with HIS, PACS, and RIS software systems is essential, as is participation in departmental quality assurance programs.

Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Licensed by the New York State Department of Health.
  • Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Solid knowledge of radiographic examinations, positioning techniques, and the use of contrast agents.
  • Familiarity with radiographic equipment operation and radiation safety.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy and medical terminology.
  • Ability to effectively interact with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff.
  • Competence in multitasking and meeting schedules under minimal supervision.
  • Basic computer skills; experience navigating Windows and Outlook is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Preferred experience with C-Arm procedures.
