This opportunity offers experienced radiologic technologists the chance to apply advanced imaging skills in a dynamic hospital setting specializing in trauma and a variety of procedures. The role involves working predominantly night shifts and requires proficiency in multiple imaging modalities, as well as familiarity with hospital workflow systems.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of radiologic technologist experience; 2 years strongly preferred
- Mandatory certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- Demonstrated expertise with PACS, portable X-ray units, C-arm, and contrast procedures
- Experience in operating EPIC electronic medical records system is required; knowledge of Interlad system preferred
- Proven capabilities in fluoroscopy and operating room (OR) imaging essential
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, multi-departmental environment including emergency, NICU, OR, and outpatient settings
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging exams including portable X-rays, fluoroscopy procedures such as lumbar punctures and myelograms, and intraoperative imaging during orthopedic and spinal surgeries
- Deliver high-quality patient care with a focus on trauma stabilization and acute medical situations
- Utilize various imaging equipment including Samsung, Carestream, Siemens, Phillips X-ray machines, and GE OEC C-arms and O-arm
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient workflow and accurate imaging documentation
- Maintain compliance with safety standards and hospital protocols on scheduling, attendance, and patient confidentiality
Location: Position is based in Burlington, NC, adjacent to a major community hospital that functions as a regional Level II trauma center. The hospital supports a busy, comprehensive radiology department with over 500 beds and performs 250300 diagnostic exams daily. Schedule and Hours:
- Contract position with a 33.5-hour workweek
- Night shifts including one 9.5-hour shift (8:00 PM 5:30 AM Friday) and two 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM 7:30 AM Saturday and Sunday)
