A healthcare opportunity is available for a skilled ultrasound professional specializing in cardiac imaging to provide essential diagnostic services at a well-regarded medical center in Vestal, NY. This contract role focuses on performing comprehensive cardiac ultrasound examinations to assist in the timely evaluation and treatment of patients, including both inpatients and outpatients, while supporting hospital staff and affiliated community groups.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct cardiac ultrasound exams, including 2D, M-mode, Doppler color, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), and stress echo to assess cardiac structure and function.
• Provide preliminary interpretations of ultrasound findings to identify critical abnormalities and promptly communicate these to medical physicians.
• Clean and disinfect TEE probes, maintaining strict adherence to infection control protocols.
• Accurately record and report results of all diagnostic procedures.
• Respond to emergency stat echo calls outside of regular scheduled hours as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation consistent with service delivery standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support cardiac imaging services.

Qualifications or Desired Experience:

• Proficiency in cardiac ultrasound imaging and examinations.
• Strong knowledge of TEE procedures and infection control practices.
• Ability to interpret and communicate preliminary exam results effectively.
