A leading healthcare organization in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a skilled Ultrasound General professional to assist radiologists in advanced diagnostic imaging procedures. This contract opportunity involves performing invasive techniques, supporting physician assessments, and contributing to resident training within a dynamic clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist radiologists with invasive diagnostic techniques, including needle biopsies, aspirations, and guided needle-wire placements for surgery
• Provide training and standardization guidance to residents on exam procedures
• Evaluate contraindications such as medication usage, patient preparation, and patient tolerance
• Perform ultrasound examinations under supervision according to procedural guidelines
• Identify sonographic features of normal and abnormal tissues, structures, and blood flow
• Analyze sonographic data during exams to ensure comprehensive and accurate diagnostic information
• Recognize abnormal findings that require direct radiologist observation in real time
• Capture images and Doppler recordings aligned with patient data for physician review
• Communicate preliminary diagnostic findings to radiologists and referring physicians

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Proficiency in general ultrasound imaging techniques and Doppler studies
• Ability to perform invasive ultrasound-guided procedures confidently
• Strong knowledge of sonographic anatomy and pathology recognition
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with medical teams and patients
• Prior experience providing training or mentorship to medical residents is preferred
