Qualifications & Experience:

• Current certification or registry in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS or equivalent required).
• Documented experience in general ultrasound imaging, including abdominal, small parts, obstetric, and gynecological exams.
• Strong understanding of ultrasound physics, anatomy, and pathology.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff.
• Keen attention to patient comfort, privacy, and safety during every examination.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of general ultrasound examinations, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
• Prepare patients for procedures and explain exam processes clearly and compassionately.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and facility protocols.
• Maintain accurate records and document findings in the electronic medical record system.
• Assist radiologists and providers with additional imaging procedures as needed.
• Adhere to infection control and patient safety practices at all times.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and departmental meetings when required.
