Qualifications & Experience:
- Current certification or registry in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS or equivalent required).
- Documented experience in general ultrasound imaging, including abdominal, small parts, obstetric, and gynecological exams.
- Strong understanding of ultrasound physics, anatomy, and pathology.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff.
- Keen attention to patient comfort, privacy, and safety during every examination.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of general ultrasound examinations, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
- Prepare patients for procedures and explain exam processes clearly and compassionately.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and facility protocols.
- Maintain accurate records and document findings in the electronic medical record system.
- Assist radiologists and providers with additional imaging procedures as needed.
- Adhere to infection control and patient safety practices at all times.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and departmental meetings when required.
