A healthcare opportunity is available for a skilled Ultrasound Technologist specializing in general ultrasound imaging and sonography. This contract position starts in March and supports inpatient and emergency department scanning needs. The role requires expertise in performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures with accuracy and professionalism.
This position operates primarily on the 3rd shift, from 7 pm to 7 am, Tuesday through Sunday. The schedule includes 6 consecutive days on followed by 8 days off, allowing for an excellent work-life balance. Call responsibilities are limited to the shift hours only, with no after-hours call duties.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- ARDMS - ABD (Active Board Eligible) and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credentials required
- General Ultrasound imaging skills with a focus on sonography
- OB/Gyn certification is preferred to enhance patient care capabilities
- Prior experience in inpatient and emergency department ultrasound scanning
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced setting
Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasound examinations accurately on inpatient and emergency cases
- Collaborate with medical staff to provide diagnostic information to support patient treatment
- Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Manage equipment carefully and ensure proper documentation for each procedure
