Qualifications and Skills:
- Current certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent
- Experience performing high-quality general ultrasound examinations
- Proficiency with contemporary ultrasound equipment and imaging protocols
- Strong understanding of anatomy, pathology, and scanning techniques
- Detail-oriented approach to capturing images and documenting findings
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, and clinical staff
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
- Prior experience in a healthcare or hospital setting is advantageous
Schedule/Hours:
- Flexible shifts may be available based on facility needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a variety of general ultrasound exams, ensuring accuracy and clarity of images
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain imaging processes, and ensure comfort throughout the exam
- Collaborate with radiologists and other physicians to review images and ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment, following all safety and infection control protocols
- Accurately document procedures and upload images to the appropriate medical record systems
- Assist with image archiving and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
