Job Description

This role offers a unique opportunity to perform ultrasound imaging across two renowned hospitals, providing diverse clinical experiences and advanced technology. The position requires expertise in general ultrasound imaging, with responsibilities spanning head and neck exams, biopsy guidance, and routine general and specialized exams including transplant and vascular studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed head and neck ultrasound examinations following established protocols.
  • Assist with ultrasound-guided procedures such as biopsies and potentially operating room guidance.
  • Conduct routine general ultrasound exams including transplanted liver and kidney assessments and venous Doppler studies for deep vein thrombosis in both upper and lower extremities.
  • Collaborate closely with radiologists to ensure high-quality imaging and diagnostic accuracy.
  • Adapt to scanning at two hospitals, utilizing Philips Epiq Elite and GE Logiq 10s equipment.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in general ultrasound imaging techniques.
  • Experience with head and neck ultrasound and ultrasound-guided procedures is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with transplant and vascular ultrasound imaging is a plus.
  • Pediatric ultrasound experience considered advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Schedule:

  • Sunday: 8:00 AM 6:30 PM at Massachusetts General Hospital
  • Monday: 7:00 AM 5:30 PM at Mass Eye & Ear
  • Thursday: 7:00 AM 5:30 PM at Mass Eye & Ear
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM 6:30 PM at Massachusetts General Hospital
