A healthcare imaging opportunity is available for an experienced ultrasound sonographer skilled in general ultrasound procedures. This role involves providing diagnostic ultrasound services across two prominent medical centers in Boston, Massachusetts. The position is offered on a contract basis, ideal for candidates seeking a dynamic work schedule and varied clinical exposure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform head and neck ultrasound exams at Mass Eye & Ear, adhering to detailed protocols.
  • Participate in ultrasound-guided procedures including biopsies and potentially operating room guidance.
  • Conduct routine general ultrasound exams at Massachusetts General Hospital.
  • Execute specialized scans such as transplanted liver, transplanted kidney, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in upper and lower extremities.
  • Collaborate closely with radiologists to ensure accurate imaging and patient care.
  • Utilize advanced ultrasound equipment including Philips Epiq Elite and GE Logiq 10s systems.
  • Pediatric ultrasound experience is advantageous.

Work Schedule:

  • Sunday: 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM at Massachusetts General Hospital
  • Monday: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM at Mass Eye & Ear
  • Thursday: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM at Mass Eye & Ear
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM at Massachusetts General Hospital

  • Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary medical teams.
  • Certification and licensure as a diagnostic medical sonographer or ultrasonographer.
  • Pediatric ultrasound experience is a plus.
