Job Description

A healthcare facility in Woodstock, IL is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to support diagnostic imaging services on a contract basis. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with expertise in radiographic procedures, patient care, and imaging technology to ensure high-quality, accurate diagnostic results.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
  • Minimum of 2 years of radiology technologist experience
  • ARRT Radiography registration required
  • IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required in Illinois
  • Approved CPR or BLS certification within 90 days of hire

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic, portable, C-arm, and fluoroscopic procedures with precision
  • Review patients clinical histories and collaborate with radiologists as needed
  • Educate patients about procedures and ensure their comfort and safety
  • Select and operate imaging equipment and accessories accurately to capture quality images
  • Position patients appropriately while respecting their limitations
  • Apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff
  • Process and review radiologic images; ensure proper identification and quality control
  • Document all relevant procedure details in the electronic medical record, including medication reconciliation
  • Assist in fluoroscopic and specialized x-ray exams, including contrast media preparation and administration
  • Train new technologists and provide instruction to radiography students
  • Utilize electronic medical records, PACS, and other imaging software proficiently
  • Assist with patient scheduling and coordination as necessary
