Job Description

A 60-bed Level 3 Trauma Center near Racine, Wisconsin, is seeking an experienced Radiology Technologist for a contract role. This facility supports a diverse patient population including inpatients, outpatients, emergency department cases, and some pediatric patients, with a primary focus on adult care. The position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a supportive team including respiratory therapists and hospitalists available around the clock.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including chest and long bone x-rays, portable imaging, and limited fluoroscopy
  • Support surgical patients with C-arm imaging and mobile techniques across various departments, including OR and ED
  • Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC EMR and ensure medication dispensing compliance with Pyxis systems
  • Utilize imaging technology including Canon and GE portable equipment, OEC C-arms, and Dell workstations with Canon plates
  • Adhere to infection control policies, including mandatory COVID-19 vaccination

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of radiology technologist experience with strong proficiency in chest x-rays, long bone imaging, C-arm use, and portable radiography
  • Current BLS certification and ARRT certification required; Wisconsin state licensure must be obtained
  • Experience with PACS McKesson preferred but not mandatory
  • Comfortable working 3rd shift hours, primarily focusing on diagnostic imaging with limited fluoroscopy during night shifts
  • Ability to float within the hospital for portable imaging needs, including operating room and emergency department support
  • Effective communication and ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary care team
