Qualifications:
- Associates degree (A.A.S.) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
- Valid NYS license/registration as a radiologic technologist
- At least one year of experience in radiologic technology
- Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform radiographic examinations under physician/departmental direction
- Greet patients, explain procedures, position them appropriately, and set exposure factors
- Practice effective radiation safety to minimize unnecessary exposure
- Operate imaging equipment efficiently, report equipment malfunctions promptly
- Process films and input accurate information into the Radiology Information System for proper documentation
- Adhere to department protocols and policies
- Deliver high-quality radiologic exams tailored to referring physicians and radiologists specifications
