Job Description
A 60-bed Level 3 Trauma Center near Racine, WI, is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist for a contract position located in Sturtevant, WI. This facility handles a mix of inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department cases, with primarily adult patients and some pediatrics. The role offers exposure to a variety of imaging procedures across diagnostic, portable, surgical, and fluoroscopy modalities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform chest x-rays, long bone x-rays, and fluoroscopy with limited fluoro assignments on the third shift
- Support surgical patients with C-arm imaging and assist in portable radiography throughout the hospital, including OR and ED areas
- Maintain accurate documentation using the EPIC electronic medical record system
- Collaborate with the hospitalist and respiratory therapy teams who provide round-the-clock support
- Adhere to infection control guidelines, including COVID-19 vaccination requirements
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of Radiology Technologist experience, preferably with a strong diagnostic and portable skill set
- Certified by ARRT and BLS certified (Wisconsin state licensure required or in process)
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with PACS (McKesson preferred), Pyxis medication dispensing, and various imaging equipment such as Canon, GE portables, OEC C-arms, and Dell diagnostic systems
- Flexibility to float across hospital units for portable imaging needs
