Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using radiology equipment while adhering to departmental and industry standards.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to optimize image quality.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by educating them and addressing their questions or concerns with a compassionate approach.
  • Apply age-appropriate communication strategies and ensure patient safety across all age groups.
  • Maintain radiation safety and infection control protocols to protect patients and staff.
  • Train and supervise radiology students, supporting their professional development.
  • Conduct quality control assessments and ensure compliance with imaging and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT or equivalent).
  • Experience with diagnostic imaging and patient positioning techniques.
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety and infection control practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients and team members.
  • Ability to oversee and support student training is a plus.
