This travel role gives experienced Radiology Techs a valuable opportunity to elevate their careers working within a sophisticated Interventional Platform. As part of a high-acuity, Magnet-designated environment, you will collaborate with top professionals and expand your expertise through exposure to advanced proceduresincluding Cath Lab, EP, Hybrid, and IR cases. This assignment not only enhances your clinical skills but also strengthens your resume with experience at a renowned Level II Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center. Enjoy a 1:1 patient ratio, state-of-the-art equipment, and a focus on high-impact interventions.
Schedule/Hours:
- On call: 10-11 call shifts per month, including 2 weekends (FridayMonday, call only)
- Weekdays: On call from 4pm7am
- Holiday call: 1-2 holidays per assignment (as needed)
Desired Qualifications:
- ARRT and IEMA (IL) licensure, BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years experience in either Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology
- Proficiency in simultaneous scrubbing and panning; experience with Impella, balloon pump, and hemodynamic monitoring
- Cross-training in both Cath Lab and IR preferred
- Previous traveler experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)
Key Responsibilities:
- Scrub and pan for advanced cardiac and vascular procedures
- Participate in high-complexity interventions: STEMI/MI, thrombectomies, ablations, TAVR, and more
- Utilize Siemens equipment and documentation using EPIC
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including RT, RNs, cardiologists, and hospitalists
- Maintain a strong focus on patient safety and quality care
