A skilled Radiologic Technologist is needed for a contract position in Rockford, IL, supporting diagnostic imaging services. This role involves performing a variety of radiographic procedures including portable, C-arm, and fluoroscopic imaging to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute diagnostic radiographic procedures with precision, ensuring optimal image quality and patient comfort.
• Review patient clinical histories and collaborate with radiologists to verify imaging orders and lab results.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, selecting appropriate exposure techniques while adhering to ALARA radiation safety principles.
• Document all procedure details accurately within electronic medical records, including medication reconciliation and safety incident reporting.
• Provide patient education and apply principles of patient safety throughout imaging processes.
• Assist radiologists in special examinations, contrast media preparation, and emergency situations including basic life support.
• Mentor and train radiography students and new technologists, offering expert instruction on equipment and protocols.
• Manage scheduling coordination for patients and staff efficiently.
• Utilize radiology information systems and picture archiving communication systems (PACS) for image processing and data management.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum of 2 years of radiography experience required.
• ARRT Radiography registration required.
• Illinois IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required.
• CPR or BLS certification obtained within the last 90 days.
