A professional opportunity is available for a skilled Radiology Technologist specializing in diagnostic imaging, with a travel position based in Port Matilda, PA. This role focuses on performing radiological procedures, preparing patients, and assisting physicians by delivering accurate and timely diagnostic images.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for imaging examinations; explain procedures and address questions.
• Perform diagnostic radiology procedures using CR, Fluoro, and DR equipment.
• Ensure patient identification and safety by verifying two identifiers: name and date of birth.
• Position patients correctly for examinations and administer IV and oral contrast media as ordered.
• Operate and maintain radiologic equipment, perform routine adjustments, and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with Radiologists and Fluoro Techs during special procedures, employing proper sterile techniques.
• Document patient information, symptoms, and procedure details within PACS accurately.
• Promote radiation safety adhering to ALARA standards to protect patients and staff.
• Support clerical functions including workflow monitoring, image release, and assisting office tasks as needed.
• Provide excellent patient care and customer service throughout the imaging process.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) accredited Radiological Technology program.
• Registered with the ARRT in Radiology.
• Minimum of one year preferred experience performing radiologic procedures in hospitals, clinics, or physician offices.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, following American Heart Association standards.
• Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, radiologic equipment, and safety protocols.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions.
