Job Description

A healthcare role is available for an experienced Interventional Radiologic Technologist to conduct advanced imaging procedures in a dynamic hospital setting. This travel assignment is based in the Dallas, TX area and offers the opportunity to utilize specialized skills in interventional radiology, contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of patient conditions, including trauma and neurological emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality interventional radiology (IR) procedures following established protocols.
  • Prepare patients and equipment for safe and efficient procedures.
  • Maintain sterile techniques and adhere to safety and infection-control policies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients using AIDET methods to ensure understanding and comfort.
  • Monitor and maintain imaging equipment functionality and supply inventories.
  • Document patient history, procedure details, and maintain imaging records accurately.
  • Respond promptly to on-call cases, with a required report time within 30 minutes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, supporting trauma and stroke care initiatives.
  • Participate in training and serve as a resource for new staff and technology updates.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current BLS (AHA Only), MRT, and ARRT certifications.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Interventional Radiology/Cath Lab.
  • Experience with body trauma and neurostroke imaging required.
  • Familiarity with Epic system preferred.
  • Previous work in a Level I trauma center and VI certification is advantageous.
  • Ability to work rotating call shifts, float, and weekends when needed.
  • Reliable and able to report onsite promptly for urgent cases.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM 5:00 PM, four 10-hour shifts.
  • Rotating day off and on-call shifts included.
