Join a dynamic radiology department as a skilled Radiology Technologist specializing in imaging services at a reputable healthcare facility in Pittsford, NY. This contract position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care with a focus on interventional radiology. While prior interventional radiology experience is preferred, newcomers from other imaging modalities are supported with up to six months of specialized training in neuro IR procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce consistently high-quality diagnostic radiologic images by accurately selecting exposure factors and patient positioning.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members to address issues promptly and maintain smooth departmental operations.
• Administer oral contrast agents as required and prepare patients for radiographic and fluoroscopic exams, assisting Radiologists during procedures.
• Operate various x-ray equipment, including CR and DR systems, ensuring equipment functionality and reporting malfunctions as needed.
• Complete assigned procedures efficiently and support department workflow by assisting with clerical tasks, stocking, and patient transport.
• Maintain strict medication security protocols and ensure patient rights and confidentiality are upheld in all patient interactions.
• Exhibit competency in healthcare services across all age groups, practicing professionalism, compassion, and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Utilize Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS for documentation and information management while upholding confidentiality standards.
• Participate in hospital performance improvement initiatives and respond to technical inquiries from healthcare professionals with professionalism.

Qualifications:

• Current New York State radiologic technologist license.
• Minimum of two years of experience in radiologic imaging.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Strong technical proficiency and ability to learn new modalities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
