This opportunity seeks a Radiology Technologist specialized in imaging for a dynamic Interventional Radiology unit in Maumelle, AR. Supported by a Level 1 Trauma center with cutting-edge technology, this role demands clinical expertise and precision in a fast-paced environment focused on high-acuity patients, including those with liver failure, arteriovenous malformations, and multiple myeloma.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, with at least 1 year in Radiology specialty
- Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Experience using Epic electronic medical records preferred
- Ability to manage advanced equipment including ACT, EKOS catheter/setup, EVD/ICP monitoring, and lumbar drains
- Comfortable administering sedation medications and monitoring sedated patients, including EKG, blood products, and multiple drips such as Integrelin, TPA, Propofol, heparin, Fentanyl, and Versed
- Strong teamwork skills to collaborate with IR Body, Neuro IR, and Vascular Surgery teams
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging and assist interventional procedures following strict safety guidelines
- Monitor patient vitals, manage IVs, and document findings accurately in the Epic system
- Participate in rotating shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with call responsibilities one night per week and every fifth weekend, plus distributed holiday coverage
- Maintain hospital-issued scrubs and comply with appearance policies
