Job Description

Deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services as a skilled radiologic technologist in a dynamic healthcare setting. This contract position offers the opportunity to work with advanced radiology equipment and collaborate closely with radiologists to support patient diagnosis and care. Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional radiologic technologist experience
  • ARRT Radiography registration required
  • IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required if practicing in Illinois
  • Approved CPR or BLS certification within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic, portable, c-arm, and fluoroscopic procedures
  • Review patient clinical histories and ensure appropriate orders and lab results
  • Provide patient education regarding imaging procedures
  • Operate imaging devices and select appropriate exposure techniques following ALARA principles
  • Maintain radiation safety to minimize exposure to patients and staff
  • Process and evaluate images for quality and proper identification
  • Utilize radiology information systems (including PACS) effectively for documentation and image submission
  • Assist in medical record/image sharing and complete medication reconciliation
  • Provide patient assistance, including transport and safety during procedures
  • Support radiologists during fluoroscopic and special x-ray exams, including contrast media preparation and administration
  • Offer instruction and training to radiography students and new technologists
  • Adjust and coordinate scheduling for patients and staff as needed
