Job Description

Join a dynamic healthcare setting delivering essential imaging services at a 60-bed Level 3 Trauma Center near Racine, WI. This contract opportunity is ideal for a skilled Radiology Technologist with a strong background and at least two years of experience, including first-time travel assignments. The facility offers a supportive environment with a range of patient types primarily adults in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department (ED) settings, along with some pediatric cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including chest and long bone x-rays, C-arm imaging, and portable radiography.
  • Support surgical patients and conduct limited fluoroscopy procedures.
  • Provide imaging services across different hospital units, including the operating room (OR) and ED.
  • Collaborate with transport staff (available 7 a.m. 9 p.m.), respiratory therapists, and hospitalists who operate 24/7.
  • Utilize hospital technology systems such as EPIC EMR, Pyxis medication dispensing, PACS (McKesson preferred), Canon and GE portable x-ray units, OEC C-arms, and Dell workstations with Canon plates.
  • Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio ensuring quality and personalized care.

Qualifications and Licensure:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Radiology Technologist.
  • Certifications required: BLS and ARRT; Wisconsin state licensure must be obtained.
  • Experience with chest x-rays, long bone imaging, surgical radiology, portable techniques, and fluoro.
  • Ability to float for portable imaging services throughout the hospital.
  • COVID-19 vaccination required.
