Job Description

This opportunity is designed for a skilled Radiology Technologist with expertise in imaging, ready to contribute to a specialized Interventional Radiology unit. The role is based at a trauma level 1 medical center with a comprehensive patient care environment. This contract position offers a chance to engage with advanced interventional procedures and a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience, with at least 1 year in specialty Radiology Tech practice
  • Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
  • Proficient in starting IVs, monitoring sedated patients, administering sedation medications, and monitoring EKG rhythms
  • Experience with specialized medications and drips such as Integrelin, TPA, Propofol, heparin, Fentanyl, and Versed
  • Familiarity with advanced equipment like ACT, EKOS catheter setup, EVD/ICP monitoring, and lumbar drains is highly beneficial
  • Ability to collaborate with Interventional Radiology, Neuro IR, and Vascular Surgery teams

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures following hospital protocols and safety standards
  • Administer sedation and monitor patients vital signs during procedures
  • Assist with drips and infusions integral to interventional radiology care
  • Document all interventions in the Epic system with accuracy and timeliness
  • Participate in call rotations, including one night per week and every fifth weekend, plus distributed holiday coverage
  • Adhere to hospital dress code and operational policies
