This travel opportunity for an Interventional Radiology Technologist offers a dynamic role within a Level I Trauma Center specializing in advanced IR and Cath Lab procedures. The technologist will perform high-quality interventional radiology exams, supporting emergent trauma and stroke cases with precision and adherence to strict protocols. This position demands the ability to respond quickly under call requirements and contribute to a multidisciplinary team providing critical patient care.
Location
Based in the Dallas, TX area, this assignment places you in a major metropolitan hub known for its vibrant culture, diverse dining, and abundant recreational activities. The 13-week assignment is located in a flagship hospital facility at the heart of the regions healthcare network.
Responsibilities:
- Execute IR procedures on ambulatory and inpatient populations following established protocols and safety standards.
- Prepare patients and equipment, ensuring sterility and infection control during invasive multimodality procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families, providing clear instructions and comforting reassurance.
- Collaborate with engineers and physicists to maintain equipment quality and operational readiness.
- Adhere strictly to radiation safety and emergency protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical imaging documentation and support timely interpretation.
- Participate in on-call rotation with readiness to respond within 30 minutes.
- Serve as a resource and preceptor to new team members and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience in Interventional Radiology/Cath Lab required.
- Experience with body trauma & neuro stroke imaging preferred.
- MRT and ARRT certifications mandatory; BLS (AHA) required.
- Familiarity with Epic system and trauma center protocols preferred.
- Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining professional demeanor.
- Must be able to travel and relocate for a 13-week assignment.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM on a 4x10 hour shift schedule
- Rotating days off and call shifts
- Weekend and float coverage as needed
