Qualifications & Experience:
- Current certification or registry with ARRT in Radiologic Technology
- Active and unrestricted state license in Radiology Technology (if required)
- Proven experience as a Radiology Tech in a clinical setting
- Proficiency with imaging equipment and digital record systems
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative work ethic
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic radiologic imaging procedures as ordered by physicians
- Ensure imaging quality and safety standards are maintained at all times
- Prepare patients for imaging, explaining procedures and providing reassurance
- Accurately position patients and protect them from unnecessary radiation exposure
- Maintain records of procedures and update electronic health records promptly
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret images and discuss findings
- Monitor equipment functionality and coordinate necessary maintenance or repairs
- Adhere to the policies and procedures of the hospital and departmental guidelines
