Qualifications:
- Associate's degree (A.A.S.) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
- Valid New York State radiologic technologist license and registration
- Minimum one year of clinical experience as a radiologic technologist
- Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance
Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality radiographic examinations under the guidance of departmental radiologists
- Provide clear explanations to patients about their procedures and ensure optimum patient positioning
- Set accurate exposure factors to acquire diagnostic-quality images
- Prioritize patient safety by following strict radiation safety protocols and protective measures
- Efficiently operate imaging equipment and report malfunctions to supervisors
- Process films and input documentation into the Radiology Information System for accurate records and billing support
- Adhere to departmental protocols and procedures, maintaining compliance with policy and ethical standards
- Respond to the needs of referring physicians and radiologists to deliver outstanding imaging services
