Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Radiologic Technology (A.A.S.) or equivalent.
- Current New York State license/registration as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Minimum of one year of experience in CT or MRI imaging.
- Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance.
- Strong knowledge of radiology imaging equipment, procedures, and protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform radiographic examinations under supervision of departmental radiologists.
- Greet patients and thoroughly explain procedures to ensure patient understanding and comfort.
- Position patients appropriately and set correct exposure factors to achieve high-quality diagnostic images.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, practicing proper radiation protection techniques to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment, promptly reporting any equipment malfunctions.
- Accurately process films and input pertinent information into the Radiology Information System for comprehensive documentation and billing.
- Ensure compliance with department protocols and procedures as outlined in the Policy and Procedure Manual.
- Collaborate with physicians and radiology staff to meet all diagnostic imaging needs.
