This contract opportunity offers a dynamic role for a Radiology Technician with expertise in general X-ray procedures and trauma care, located in Aurora, IL. You will provide essential imaging services for a high-acuity Level 1 Trauma Center, supporting both outpatient and inpatient settings with a focus on GI, surgery, and trauma cases.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Radiology Technologist, preferably with trauma center exposure
- Certified in ARRT, BLS, and IEMA
- Proficiency in general X-ray imaging, including portable and non-portable equipment
- Experience working with patients in GI, surgery, and Level 1 trauma cases is highly desired
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic charting and imaging equipment such as GE XR Rooms, Siemens Fluoro, GE C-Arm, and Fuji portables
- Candidates who are first-time travelers must have X-ray tech experience; no novices accepted
Responsibilities:
- Perform X-ray examinations on diverse patient populations, focusing on trauma and surgical cases
- Operate advanced imaging equipment and ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Collaborate with multiple X-ray techs and healthcare teams in a fast-paced Level 1 trauma center environment
- Participate in weekend rotation schedules and comply with call schedule requirements
- Chart patient care accurately in EPIC
Schedule:
- Weekend rotation every other weekend
- Call schedule varies; all time-off requests require unit manager approval
