Key Qualifications:
- Current certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
- Valid state license to practice as a Radiologic Technologist
- CPR/BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of standard radiology equipment and safety protocols
- Previous clinical experience in a hospital radiology setting preferred
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Typical Responsibilities:
- Operate radiology equipment to produce clear, accurate diagnostic images according to healthcare provider orders
- Prepare and position patients while ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Follow all radiation safety guidelines and hospital policies to protect patients, colleagues, and self
- Handle electronic medical records and patient data with accuracy and confidentiality
- Maintain equipment through routine inspection and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for optimal patient outcomes
- Assist with departmental workflow, including scheduling, transporting, and prepping patients as needed
- Keep up to date with continuing education requirements and radiology best practices
