Embrace an opportunity to sharpen your imaging and radiology tech skills in a Level II Trauma Center with Magnet designation and a reputation for excellence in patient outcomes. This dynamic role promotes growth through collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and exposure to high-acuity, complex cases such as diagnostic/interventional heart caths, ablations, and advanced interventional radiology procedures. Youll work exclusively with adult patients in both inpatient and outpatient contexts, focused on intra-procedural careno pre- or post-care responsibilities. The unit features 1:1 patient ratios to ensure thorough, attentive care and an environment conducive to learning best practices.
Schedule/Hours:
- On-call requirements: 10-11 call shifts per month (including 2 weekends/month; F/Sa/Su)
- Weekday call: 4p-7a; Weekend: 4p Friday 7a Monday
- 30-minute response time required
- Holiday coverage: 1-2 holidays of call per assignment
Qualifications:
- Current Illinois IEMA (IL license), ARRT, BLS, and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum two years experience in Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology
- Ability to simultaneously scrub and pan, manage Impella, balloon pump, and perform hemodynamic monitoring
- Cross-training in multiple modalities is highly preferred
- Facility requires COVID vaccination
Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced imaging/radiology tech support for Cath Lab, EP, Hybrid, and IR procedures
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and RTs, ensuring efficient procedure flow
- Navigate EPIC, Merge hemodynamic, GE Cardio, and Siemens equipment systems
- Respond as part of a three-person on-call team, maintaining a 30-minute response window
